The Center for Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) was created in 2011. CCPD as one of the leading structural divisions of West Kazakhstan MarataOspanov State Medical University develops pedagogical, professional and language skills of teachers and medical workers, organizes and conducts innovative educational activities at the university, monitors the quality of education, and provides general training for doctoral students, undergraduates and residents.

Head of the CCPDis , Ph.D., Acting Associate Professor Kashkinbaeva Alima Robertovna is a certified specialist in evidence-based medicine and biostatistics, a trainer in a unified training program for doctors in key competencies Patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. In 2013, she participated in the International Conference of Family Doctors (WONCA). Trainer-expert communication skills. From 2011 to 2017 the center was led by Ph.D., Acting Associate Professor Zhamalieva Lazzat Manbetzhanovna, a member of the Association of Family Doctors of Kazakhstan, a master trainer of family medicine (UK), a specialist in evidence-based medicine and biostatistics and medical education.
